Deniz obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from Istanbul University in 2019, where she was actively involved in campus life.  Deniz volunteered at the International Crime and Punishment Film Festival and became the Chair of the student jury committee.  In this role, she raised public awareness about social justice issues both locally and internationally. Deniz was also a member of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) where she organized seminars to educate high school students about legal principles like the rule of law.

In 2024, Deniz graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, with her LL.M. degree in Canadian Common Law. While at Osgoode Hall, Deniz worked at Pardon Applications Canada which is an organization that secures criminal record suspensions (pardons) for individuals with criminal records. This experience enabled her to hone her advocacy skills for marginalized individuals.
