Talissa is a graduate of the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, and the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law, earning two Juris Doctor degrees in 2023. She completed her articles at a top labour and employment firm in Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 2024. Prior to entering the practice of law, Talissa graduated from the University of Toronto in 2019, with an honours specialization in political science.

Talissa maximized every opportunity to establish herself as a fierce advocate while at law school. She was President of the Human Rights Law Association of Windsor and the Vice President of the Innocence Project. She also served as a caseworker for two clinics, Legal Assistance of Windsor, providing public benefits and housing support, and Community Legal Aid, providing criminal and family law support. At the end of her terms, she was awarded with the Rose Voyvodic Memorial Award for clinical excellence.

Talissa further strengthened her written and oral advocacy through participation in numerous moots. She competed in Windsor Law’s annual Zuber Moot, where she won the Top Oralist award in the final round, as well as the Julius Isaac Alexander moot and the Gale Cup. In her final year of law school, Talissa coached student competitors in the Zuber moot, the inaugural Transnational Law moot, the Hicks Morley moot, and first year legal writing course moots.
